Gear Up for History: Visitor Essentials

Know Before You Go!

Before you join me for a walk through Asbury Park’s past, here are a few things to know so you’re ready to roll:

  • 🌦️ Weather: Tours run rain or shine — we’re a hardy bunch! Bring an umbrella or light jacket if the forecast looks iffy.

  • ⏱️ Length: Tours are about 1 hour and cover roughly 1 mile at an easy pace.

  • 👟 What to Wear: Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are your best bet.

  • 🐾 Dogs: Leashed pups are always welcome on my tours. Bring water & waste bags for your four-legged historian.

  • 🚻 Restrooms: Public restrooms are available near the Boardwalk and our meeting spot.

  • 🅿️ Parking: Closest lots are near Convention Hall and along Ocean Avenue. Street meters accept cards and the PayByPhone app.

  • ♿ Accessibility: Sidewalks and curb cuts throughout — stroller and wheelchair friendly.

  • 📍 Meeting Spot: We gatherby the Bradley Statue in Bradley Park. Look for the History Chick!
