Tours begin under James Bradley's Statue in Bradley Park (Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ)—you’ll spot your guide holding a clipboard and wearing History Chick gear.

🚗 Parking Tips
We don’t have designated parking, so we recommend arriving a bit early to find a spot. Metered street parking and paid lots are available nearby. Download Park Asbury app for ease! 

🕰 Check-In Instructions
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
To check in, give the History Chick the name under which your party is booked, or show your digital/printed tickets.

 Nearest Public Restroom: 🚻
Restrooms are available at Convention Hall, about a five-minute walk from the tour starting point. Plan ahead—we don’t stop during the tour.

History Chick Tours are completely open-air, rain or (moon)shine! 

Be sure to check the forecast and bring an umbrella or poncho if the skies look spooky.

From boardwalk battles and music legends to forgotten landmarks and cultural firsts, we stop at key locations to explore the people, movements, and moments that shaped Asbury Park’s unique place in American history. You’ll walk away with stories you’ll want to retell.

The tour takes about 1 Hour to 90 minutes depending on group pace.
Expect 30-40  minutes of walking, spread out in short stretches of 1–5 minutes, covering roughly one mile total.

Some sidewalks may be narrow or uneven, and lighting can vary. We welcome flashlights or mobility aids, but please note: due to Asbury Park’s historic infrastructure, the tour route may not be fully accessible.

This is a walking tour, so please park bicycles, scooters, or other recreational wheels before joining us.

👨‍👩‍👧 All Ages Welcome!
Whether you're a lifelong local or visiting for the first time, this tour offers something for everyone. We especially recommend it for guests 12 and up, but younger historians-in-training are always welcome with an adult.

🍼 Little ones in strollers or carriers do not need a ticket, but all other guests will require a general admission ticket due to tour size limits.
